19 Kooyongkoot Road Hawthorn, as featured on the Wood Marsh website, is a shining example of why they stand as one of Australia's most awarded architecture firms.
In its own description of the house, Wood Marsh writes that "The house does not mimic historical styles found elsewhere in the surrounding context; rather it is a contemporary design that reinforces the streetscape by providing a robust and assertive presence."
The home's upper level appears as a sculptural shell, housing the home's private living spaces. It appears almost to be suspended above the ground floor, where the use of glass, concrete and zinc offers a pared back contrast to the bold façade.
